Freedom from addiction and a new life

I was an alcoholic. I almost ruined my life, family, and career completely. I am placing the qualifying terms ‘almost’ and ‘completely’ because I recovered before I did. I used to count the days when I started fighting my addiction to alcohol. I am sober now for more than three years. No regrets. I am just looking back at those frenzied nights in bars and clubs in disbelief, and the hangovers the following day.
