Freedom from addiction and a new life

I was an alcoholic. I almost ruined my life, family, and career completely. I am placing the qualifying terms ‘almost’ and ‘completely’ because I recovered before I did. However, a broken marriage that is irreparable ensued, beside the point. I spent more than 8 months in counseling and attending AA (Alcoholics Anonymous) meetings. I used to count the days when I started fighting my addiction to alcohol. I am sober now for more than three years. No regrets. I am just looking back at those frenzied nights in bars and clubs in disbelief, and the hangovers the following day.

Like alcoholism, drug addiction is a perennial problem that can be cured. It requires drug treatment or drug rehabilitation from a refutable facility, like CliffSide Malibu, with amenities conducive for recovery and caring qualified professionals to help you in the process. It is not easy, I must say, but the recovery and complete healing is possible. With the emotional support of your love ones, drug rehab will be over before you knew it. Then with this freedom, comes a new life. Take the path of sobriety, build and live a sensible lifestyle once again –free from drugs.

I look back at the years I wasted in alcohol, not in remorse or guilt but in hope because I was freed from my addiction and given another chance to live a more meaningful life -sober.
