Boredom sometimes can hit you when least expected. And more often, it is so hard to get out of this rut. How I wish that it would have been simple, and take this like how Aldous Huxley describe it when referring to the ‘true traveler:’…finds boredom rather agreeable than painful. It is the symbol of his liberty - his excessive freedom. He accepts his boredom, when it comes, not merely philosophically, but almost with pleasure. On a similar tone, do you, sometimes, feel so tired emotionally and mentally that you do not want to do anything? That you feel like disappearing and enter another realm? Or, you just want to get away from all of these?
Have you considered taking David Harold Fink’s advise on firing up your motivation:
You don't have to do anything you don't want to do.However, there are many things that we need to do even if we do not want to do them or do not feel like doing them. Motivation does not impel us to do anything every time. There are other reasons.
So, how do you enliven yourself when boredom hits you and you feel like so unmotivated to do anything at all?
