TV and Waiting

I recently posted my feelings about waiting in line, and somehow this post is directly related.watching_TV_live

How many of you sat on a diner while you waited for the food you ordered (that sometimes may take eternity when you are really hungry)? Alright, it was silly to ask. Besides, I am being rhetorical there. Anyways, most of us, ayt?

TV’s are now commonplace. You have them in passenger terminals, in almost any type of public transportation, diners, pubs and bars, shopping malls, banks, and even in public parks. According to a survey, 80% of business establishments who have Direct TV Business have actually experienced increase in their business. There is no way for me to validate that, but one thing for sure, directv business, can ease tensions, boredom, and sometimes anxieties for people who have to wait in line, wait for something or someone, or simply vegetate and let time pass.

When you see something else that deviate you from what you are waiting for, mine by the way is reading, you unknowingly ease yourself from the angst of waiting itself. You get entertained or you get to reflect on some other things, mundane or otherwise serious life issues. Surprisingly, in some companies I called on, they have now also TV sets in their applicants’ waiting lounge. Well, I can imagine, that would at least ease out the tensions while waiting for an interview. And probably, a good improvement would be a subscription on a Commercial DirecTV.

Now, on the side, why direct TV for Business and not cable? Two basic reasons actually: one, superior satellite technology, and second, excellent choices of network that is appropriate in your business setting.
